Op nieuws hoorde je alle versoepelingen. Je hoort wat er allemaal weer kan.
Alle leerlingen mogen weer “normaal” naar school, maar wat als je voor alle Corona-perikelen al niet “normaal” naar school ging? Wat als je door omstandigheden dat hele schoolgebouw helemaal niet in durft en dat die drempel door Corona alleen maar groter is geworden?
Is die ene pestkop ook weer op school? Zit mijn ziekte me niet in de weg? Heb ik de afgelopen tijd niet al te veel gemist en hoe moet ik alles inhalen? Die toetsen, ohnee, die ga ik echt niet maken! Ik krijg al stress als er ik eraan denk!
Voor veel leerlingen is de vlag uitgegaan, ze zijn geslaagd, er mag weer veel meer, met z’n allen in de klas en in de aula, maar helaas is er ook een groep leerlingen waarbij het allemaal niet vanzelfsprekend is. Deze groep leerlingen volgen geen onderwijs, ze krijgen soms wel afstandsonderwijs aangeboden, maar ga er maar eens aanstaan, alleen op je kamer, alles zelf uitzoekend. Dan is wiskunde met hulp van YouTube filmpjes erg lastig uitvogelen! En hulp vragen, ja, dat is toch eigenlijk wel net wat te spannend en soms reageren de docenten niet eens. Ze zijn druk, hebben al genoeg op dat spreekwoordelijk bordje en jij bent die leerling die ze vaak over het hoofd zien, want je bent niet in beeld.
Hoe krijg je deze leerlingen weer terug in het reguliere onderwijs?
Voor een kleine groep is dit niet haalbaar en zal er via afstandsonderwijs een juiste weg gevonden moeten worden. Met hulp van een mentor kunnen zij hopelijk toch bereiken wat ze willen. Voor de andere groep leerlingen zal met kleine stapjes vooruit gegaan moeten worden.
In één keer dat schoolgebouw instappen, dat zal te veel zijn, dus hoe fijn zou het zijn als je via een tussenstation kan wennen. In een kleine groep weer kan starten met wat huiswerk, eventueel een makkelijke toets maken. Waarbij je steeds je doelstellingen aanpast en je uiteindelijk toch gaat proberen dat schoolgebouw weer in te stappen! Met hulp, met kleine stapjes vooruit en achteruit, maar uiteindelijk met groots resultaat!
